Be gentle with the a small child because they are fragile beings and with an adult is more force per-say but still try not to hurt the adult with too much force.
Providing for a compression depending on the size of the child you would have to use either one or two hands because children have smaller chest than adults do. The compressions and breath would be typically the same for a child and the adult which is 30 compressions and two breaths.
But do be careful to not tilt the child’s head back to far. If an infant child you would have to do same procedures but when doing breaths you would have to instead use your cheeks and puff air into their mouth and nose, do not use full bursting air from the lungs which could hurt the infant.
I hope this helped!
