Natural resources available on earth are the only source of energy to all living beings.
They are of two types, Renewable and Non-renewable.
Renewable resources are those that are present in ample amount and can regenerate themselves very quickly and hence do not get exhausted. Eg: Sun, Wind, etc.
Non-Renewable resources are those that require a lot of time for their formation and if utilised at a rate which is much higher than its formation rate, can result in its exhaustion. Eg: Fossil fuels, Fresh water from glaciers.
Natural Resources need to be utilised economically or in a sustained manner by the present generation to give the nature ample time to regenerate them and to ensure that some resources are retained for the future generations.
