A container of gas is initially at 0.750 atm and 45 C. What will the pressure be at 105 C

Explanation:

We have seen that there are many gas laws :that is the generalization made on gases relating its volume , pressure , temperature and moles of gas .

Gay lussac's law

According to it : At constant volume ,for given mole of gases :Pressure varies directly with temperature .

That is :

P  ∞  T

or , P₁/T₁=P₂/T₂

In the above question , it is asked to find the pressure at temperature 105C :

P₁=0.750 atm=

T₁=45 C = 318K

P₂=?

T=105 C =378K

We have :

P₁/T₁=P₂/T₂

0.750/318=P₂/378

P₂= 0.750 X 105/45 = 1.75atm
