It would be 50, remember PEMDAS, Parentheses “()”, Exponents, Multiplication or Division (whichever comes first), Addition or Subtraction (whichever comes first).
So you would multiply -9 by -5 to get positive 45. As the 45 is positive it would be 5+45=50
