Fire ants spread from 1930 to 1939 in Mobile Alabama was caused by a natural spread.

Explanation:

In the 1930's the red fire ants were imported from one of the South American Countries and were first introduced to Mobile Alabama. They came in cargo ships travelling in soil used as ballast. The ants spread to other states infesting more than 260 million acres of land in the south-eastern states.

They build moulds and are normally found in fields where cattle graze. They can also be found around the household yards building on soil. Sometimes they roam the indoors for moisture and food and can be a great nuisance to pets and bedridden individuals.
