Value-Mart is advertising a back to school sale on notebooks. A pack of 8 notebooks sells for $7.15 , where as a 6 pack of the same brand of notebooks cost $5.25 . Which is a better buy? How do you know. ?

Answer: A notebook at the first store costs exactly 0.89375$, or 90 cents. At the second store, a notebook is 0.875 or roughly 88 cents.

So, the second store has a better value per notebook.
