Why under the Articles of Confederation was the National Government set up to be so weak in power?



The states knew the people better


The Americans embittered by their poor treatment by the British government, were not going to establish their new government the same way


We did not know who to elect as our first President


The English government was set up with all the power in the states so that is what the people knew best
