In a basketball school there were 20 teams all with equal number of players due to a budget cut 4 teams have been suppressed distributing their members among the others so each team has increased in 2 elements, how many players are in the basketball school?

Since we had 20 teams at the begining and 4 teams had to be removed, the new total is:

On the other hand, we are told each team has the same number of players and 2 players were added to each team of the new total:

[tex](16 teams) (2 \frac{players}{team}) = 32 players[/tex]

This means we have 32 players in the 16 teams.

If we divide this number by the 4 supressed teams, we have:

[tex]\frac{32 players}{4 teams}=8 \frac{players}{team}[/tex] This means there are 8 players per team

Multiplying this number by the original number of teams we have the total number of players in the school:
