A monosaccharide (CH2O) is classified as a type of glucose or fructose. If two are combined then its called a disaccharide. Disaccharides are classified as lactose or sucrose. A carbohydrate, known as a macro-molecule is classified as a type of polymer with repeating lipid molecules.
