Use the quadratic equation to solve this (bellow will be the image of the quadratic function)

Remember that quadratic functions are set up like so:

[tex]ax^{2} +bx +c = 0[/tex]

That means that in this equation...

a = 4

b = 7

c = -15

^^^Plug these numbers into the quadratic equation and solve...

[tex]\frac{-7+/-\sqrt{(7)^{2}-4(4)(-15)}}{2(4)}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{-7 +/-\sqrt{49+240}}{8}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{-7+/-\sqrt{289}}{8}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{-7+/-17}{8}[/tex]

Keep in mind that +/- is ±

[tex]\frac{-7+17}{8}[/tex] ---> [tex]\frac{5}{4}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{-7-17}{8}[/tex] ---> -3

Take the opposite of those numbers^^^ like so

(x + 3)(4x - 5)

Hope this helped!
