It was the first Battle of the American Civil War. It was fought in Manassas on July 21, 1861
resulting to a Confederate victory. Both
sides were inexperienced and the South won through the efforts of General Thomas
“Stonewall” Jackson who stood his ground and supported by General Joseph E.
Johnston.
