John Locke and Thomas Jefferson both believed that the purpose of the government is to protect the rights of citizens. Do you believe that this is the purpose of the government? And, do you believe that the government does thus today? Explain your reasoning. ​

I believe that is not the purpose of the government, and I think that they do not do that today.

The purpose of government for me is to manage all politic matters and to control how everything is working. They are the ones who are elected to do all of the decisions, they are not elected only to protect people's rights, because that is what judges and lawyers are for.
