It is called the ratio (comparison) of the two multiplicities whose units are the same. When at least one of the sizes a and b is different from zero, the ratio of a to b is displayed in a: b or a / b format.
The ratio denotes a number and has no units. As in fractions, the share and denominator of the ratio can be expanded or simplified by a number other than zero.
