PLEASE HELP!! 20 POINTS!! What type of figure of speech (metaphor, personification, etc) is being used in this sentence and why? "Let us all hope the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away and the deep fog of misunderstanding will be lifted from our fear-drenched communities… "

Metaphor because the clouds and fog are being compared to a completely different thing: racial prejudice and misunderstanding.
this is personification and a metaphor (either one or the other).
personification- it’s giving the clouds a feeling or trait (giving racist prejudice to clouds)
metaphor- not really meaning what it’s saying there are no “dark clouds” but it means it’s a dark time for people of what is happening
