Research one of the body systems listed below. Digestive system Respiratory system Muscular and skeletal systems Nervous system Endocrine system Reproductive system Excretory system Immune and lymph systems Cardiovascular system In your report, include the inputs, outputs, function, and parts of the system, and how they may interact with another system. Also include factors that can cause system failure, and illnesses or diseases that can affect the system (but maybe not cause complete failure). Your report should be at list 5 paragraphs, and include diagrams, graphs, or images.

The Muscular System

  • Allows movement of body parts. It works with the skeletal system to help you move.
  • Muscles pump blood through your body, enable you to breath, hold you upright, and allow you to move. All animals except the simplest invertebrates have muscles for movement. Other muscles move materials inside your body. Muscle is the tissue that contracts and relaxes, making the movement possible.
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Compartment Syndrome

The Skeletal System

  • Is made up of bones, ligaments, and cartilage. It supports the body and protects important organs . Its other jobs include storing minerals and producing red blood cells. A human skeleton is inside the body, so it is called endoskeleton. The hard outer layer of bone, called compact bone, stores important minerals such as calcium. These minerals are necessary for nerves and muscles to work properly.
  • Fractures
  • Metabolic bone diseases
  • Arthritis

The Nervous System

  • Collects information and responds to it by sending electrical messages. This information may come from outside or inside of the body. The brain is the center of the nervous system.
  • Your nervous system has to parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The brain and the spinal cord make up the CNS.
  • Alzheimers Disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Multiple Sclerosis MS

Answer:

Cardiovascular system

The circulatory system consists of your heart and blood vessels. The heart’s job is to pump blood throughout your body.

The left side of the heart takes oxygen-rich blood from the lungs and pumps it to other parts of the body to use. The right side of the heart pumps blood to the lungs to add oxygen to it.

The heart has a very busy job! When you are resting, your heart pumps between 60-100 times each minute. When you are exercising, it pumps much faster to deliver blood to your muscles.

The heart is responsible for getting the oxygen to your muscles, but it is the respiratory system’s job to provide the oxygen. This means that the circulatory system is directly linked to the respiratory system.
