Simplify both sides of the equation:

4-8/3x+6=11

Combine like terms:

-8/3x+10=11

Subtract 10 from both sides:

-8/3x+10-10=11-10

-8/3x=1

Multiply both sides by -3/8 for x to be itself:

-8/3x*(-3/8)=1(-3/8)

x=-3/8

Answer: x=-3/8
