NOW according to question the larger number is 18 more than twice the smaller.
so y = 2x+18.......(1)
And the sum of. the two numbers is 93
So x+y = 93......(2)
From equation (1) put the value of y in equation (2)
=> x+2x+18= 93
Subtract 18 on both sides
=> 3x = 75
Divide by 3 on both sides
=> x = 15
Now put this new value of x in equation (1)
y = 2×15+18
=> y = 48
So the smaller number is 15 and the larger number is 48.
