1) Reduce the factors=2x+2/2>1/2x+2
2)Reduce the fraction=x+1>1/2x+2
3)Multiply both sides by two=2x+2>x+4
4)Move the terms=2x-x+2>4
5)Subtract all the like terms+x>4-2
6)Your answer is x>2
