y = -1 - Subsitute into Original Equation for y
(-1) + 1 = -( x - 2) - Simplify the left side now eith addition and distribute or multiply the negative with both the x and -2
0 = -x + 2 - Move the 2 to the left side to isolate x by subtracting 2 from both sides.
-2 = -x - Divide by a negative (one) on both sides to further isolate x.
2 = x
so x = 2!
