Knights ( in europe feudalism) and samurais ( in Japan feudalism) had a code they lived by. The knights lived by the "Code of Chivalry" and the samurais lived by the "Bushido Code. "
Both feudalisms had social classes. The Europe social class: King or Church, Nobles, Knights, and Serfs. Japan social class: Emperor, Shogun, Daimyo, Samurai, Peasants, Merchants, and Artisans were the lowest class.
Samurais and knights could kill commoners.
DIFFERENCES:
Knights were sometimes not literate. Samurais, apart from being wise, they knew how to read and write.
In Japan, people could move up in the social class if you married a higher person. In Europe, lower class people couldn't.
Samurais had light armor and their swords were light and sharp. They were agile. Knights had very heavy armor and their swords weren't as sharp as the samurai.
