Median is the middle number. To find median, the numbers must be ordered from least to greatest. The numbers are already ordered.
[tex] 17,22,36,55,61,79 [/tex]
The middle numbers are 36 and 55, with 2 numbers on each side.
a, b, c, d, e, f
Add the 2 numbers and divide by 2
[tex] 36 + 55 = 91 [/tex]
Now divide by 2
[tex] 91 \div 2 = 45.5 [/tex]
The median is 45.5
the median should be 45.5 because when u find 2 median numbers (aka 36 and 55) then that means you have to add both median and then divide it by 2 which gives you 45.5 as the median
