Pablo’s boss may be exhibiting interviewer illusion. This refers to the tendency of interviewers to overrate or to be overconfident in their ability in interviewing candidates. They tend to believe that they can perceive correctly traits and characteristics of a candidate and that they can select correctly the best candidate.
