That would be A.  The units multiply and divide just like the numbers:

[tex]12000 \textrm{ feet} \times \dfrac{1 \textrm{ mile}}{5280 \textrm{ feet}}[/tex]

We need feet in the denominator of our scale factor to cancel with the feet we're multiplying by, and miles in the numerator so it becomes the unit of our result.

The answer is A because there is 5280 feet in one mile
