D.The Haitian Revolution sought to end racial inequality, while the American Revolution permitted it to continue
The Haitian Revolution was inspired by the slaves that lived in Haiti and had to work in the French sugar(?) fields. Tired of working, the slaves, under Toussaint, revolted, and was able to successfully defeat the French.
The US Revolution, on the other hand, was inspired by people who were under pressure by the British government. While not all colonists liked slavery, slavery was actually one of the reasons some US citizens joined the Revolutionary cause, because:
1) Britian banned slavery
2) Britian, in an effort to get more support in the USA, 'freed' all slaves which fought for the british cause.
This caused the US citizens to be even more enraged, and more to join the Revolutionary cause.
hope this helps
