Hello.
Angle Theta is equal to: x² + y² = r² OR [tex]r = \sqrt{ x^{2} + y^{2} } [/tex]
40² + y² = 41²
1600 + y² = 1681
-1600 -1600
y² = 81
y = 9
x = 40, y = 9, r = 41
cos θ= [tex] \frac{x}{r} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{40}{41} [/tex]
sin θ = [tex] \frac{y}{r} = \frac{9}{41} [/tex]
cot θ = [tex] \frac{x}{y} = \frac{40}{9} [/tex]
sec θ = [tex] \frac{r}{x} = \frac{41}{40} [/tex]
Hopefully it makes sense! :)
