If that 8 is supposed to be negative, then the parabola ends up being upside down when solved for y and the equation for the directrix is y = 5 and the focus is (-4, 1). If that 8 is supposed to positive, then the parabola is right side up andd the the directrix is y = 1 and the focus is (-4,5). Whichever is your parabola...I gave the directrix for both.
