Sociologists use the concept role to refer to the behavior people expect of someone who holds a particular status.The term role denotes a set of connected behaviors, rights, obligations, beliefs, and norms which a certain person profile is expected to have.
Example: a teacher may be expected to e dedicated, concerned, honest and responsible,but also actions are expected: to deliver lectures, assign homework, and prepare examinations.
