If the coil primary circuit has continuity, the reading should be 12 volts or more when:
Select one:
O A. the ignition switch is on, and the red lead of the multimeter is connected to the secondary
output terminal of the coil and the black lead to engine ground.
OB. the ignition switch is off, and the red lead of the multimeter is connected to the positive
terminal of the coil and the black lead to engine ground.
OC. the ignition switch is in the run position, and the red lead or test light is connected to the
negative side of the coil and the black lead to a good ground.
OD. the ignition switch is off, and the red lead or test light is connected to the negative side of
the coil and the black lead to a good ground.
