Many communities don’t have enough water (to drink, grow crops, etc.) Use what you have learned
about changing states of water to brainstorm possible ways to provide them water. Keep in mind that
you do not want to put too much strain on the environment!
Community water systems obtain water from two sources: surface water and ground water. People
use surface and ground water every day for a variety of purposes, including drinking, cooking, and
basic hygiene, in addition to recreational, agricultural, and industrial activities.
