Keep these three vectors on the screen with vectors A and B touching head to tail and the green sum vector C adding them together. Now, let’s look at their relationship from the perspective of their x and y components. Select Style 2 under Component Display. This shows the components of vectors A and B in the x and y directions (pink vectors). Move the head of vector B around and observe what happens with the components. At some point, stop and take readings of the vector component lengths. Click each vector in turn and observe its component lengths displayed in the data boxes at the top. Record them in the data table below.
