The physician orders a routine urinalysis and a hemoglobin determination to be done on Theodore at the office. Theodore wants to know whether the physician thinks there is something wrong with him; he also wants to know the purpose of the blood test and how it is done. When Theodore realizes that a hemoglobin determination involves a finger-stick, he says that he does not like having his finger stuck and wants to know whether the blood can be taken out of his earlobe instead. ■
