Question: “Look at the clock in the room (or any other object you can see). Draw a triangle that represents you looking at the clock (object).

Consider the angle you must look up at (angle of elevation for your eyes) to see the object and the trig ratios that would follow.

If you were to move closer to the clock, which trig ratios, if any, would get larger. Explain/ show your thinking by drawing at least 3 triangles. (You might use numbers to think through your triangles, but your answer should be verbal.)”



The trig ratios it’s referring to are sin, cos, tan.
