cavernous event hall where programmers from across the
state were clustered, students excitedly chattering about
ideas for apps.
Joey and Alana, who had been friends ever since
joining a computer club at the local youth center, stole
quick glances at their competitors and frowned.
"Whoa!" groaned Joey. "We're the youngest students
here-by years. If we don't find some way to stand out, we
don't have a chance of winning today."
Alana looked thoughtful. "Joey, what happened after
you gorged on pizza last week?"
"I felt so sick," laughed Joey.
"No. Well, yes you felt sick, but remember you didn't
replace the bands on your braces and your parents got
upset at your forgetfulness?"
"Yeah. So?"
Alana grinned. "So we use our experience as an asset.

Joey shrugged in baffled agreement.
