In conclusion, we should remember Toussaint Louverture as an Emancipator of the enslaved, Ruler of Saint Domingue, and a Successful General of Saint Domingue. Looking at Toussaint Louverture’s life, we understand and gather why he was such an important figure in the Haitian Revolution. His determined mindset led to the reconstruction of Haiti becoming an independent nation, proving my point of him being a great leader. Some of the things he contributed to were the abolishment of slavery in Haiti, serving as a doctor to the troops, and defeating France.
