= 3x + (-9x) - 8 = -(2x+12)
= 3x + (-9x) - 8 = -2x - 12
= -6x - 8 = -2x - 12
= -4x8= -12
= -4x = -4
= x= 1

is this correct, or would i have to switch anything?
