Hello, I would need help to understand more and easy way to catch or to remember. I appreciate it so much.
Topic
This topic requires the use of this document: Typical Characteristics of Indigenous Religions. While reading this document, think about whether any of these practices seem familiar or if they remind you of aspects from your own experience with religion. Many world religions grow from the seeds of being indigenous at one point, so it makes sense that many of these elements can be found in those traditions today.
Share your thoughts on how these characteristics might also be a part of the beliefs and traditions of major world religions. In other words, think of some equivalents in major world religions today, providing examples to illustrate your main points.
Incorporate one (1) quote from the textbo0k as a part of your conversation. Follow these steps:
Part 1 - Post
• Reąd the document Typical Characteristics of Indigenous Religions, noting if there are any of the characteristics seem familiar to those that you have encounter in major world religions today.
Wrįtę a post in which you share some examples where the characteristics of indigenous religions can be found in major world religions. For example are you aware of any rites of passage in Judaism, Christianity, and/or Islam? How about taboos? Are there any pilgrimages in Hinduism and Buddhism?
How about totems? is there any ancestor veneration in Daoism or Shintoism? How about animism? The idea here is to go down the list to see if any of those beliefs or practices seem familiar in religions that are not classified as indigenous.
Support your conversation with one (1) quote from anywhere in the textbook. No more than one (1) textbo0k quote is permitted, and other sources cannot be quoted. Be sure to explain the connection of the quote to the material around it. Remember to use quotation marks around quoted material and provide the appropriate textb0ok page number reference. This quote can be no more than 10% of the post content.
Title your post in a way that reflects the content (a creative, yet respectful title to attract attention and to provide a hint regarding the content). Remember, titling it "Indigenous Religions Discussion" or something similar is unoriginal, does not entice others to read it, and could result in a deduction (the words "discussion" or "Indigenous Religions" should not appear in the title anywhere).
This conversation is to be at least 3OOwords of c0ntent. You are not required to consult any other sources; however, if you do, provide MLĄ (Modern Language Association) formąt research source citations for those materials at the end your post: MLĄ CĮtations.
Part 2 - Reply.
Reply within the thread of one (1) other person, connecting a relevant textbook quote from anywhere in the textb0ok to that person's post. Please note that this must be a different quote from what you used in your post. No more than one (1) quote can be used, and no other source material can be quoted on this assignment. Be sure to provide the page number of the quote, and explain its relevance to the post content. You should be expanding upon the threaded post of another with further thoughtful comments, observations, and/or questions that are related to the content of the thread (see the FrequentlyAskedQuestions regarding the selection of a quote and what constitutes meaningful participation).
All of this needs to be done in the c0ntext of furthering the conversation regarding religious terms, ideas, and concepts related to the topic.
