You are given a tank of water with a depth of 4.80 m. The absolute pressure in the water at the bottom of the tank is 145kPa. The water has a density of 1000 kg/m³.
i) Determine the atmospheric pressure.
ii) You then pour some oil into the water. The oil and the water are not miscible (ie. they do not mix). The oil has a density of 830 kg/m³. The oil forms a 1.32−m layer on top of the water. Determine the absolute pressure at the bottom of the tank.
iii) Determine the boiling point of the water situated at the bottom of the tank in Part aii.
