Week 3 Reading Questions. Each answer should be roughly three paragraphs.
1. Discuss the framework of the government of the Roman Republic. How was it organized? How did it reflect a "mixed constitution" and a system of checks and balances? Are there any similarities between it as well as our U.S. government framework?
2. Define Timarchy/Timocracy. How does this system of government relate to the increased competition and conflict between Roman politicians and generals in the 1st century BC/E?
