Covalent Bonding
The second half of the assessment will demonstrate your understanding of covalent bond in the molecule, CHâ‚‚O.
#3: You will diagram all the atoms involved in a Bohr (shell) model BEFORE a bond has taken place. Include the number of electrons,
protons and neutrons in each atom.
#4: You will diagram all atoms involved in a Bohr (shell) model AFTER a covalent bond has occurred. Remember, covalent bonds can
form a singe, double, or triple bond! There is only one way these atoms will bond so that all orbitals are completed.
