Overview

One of the measures of quality is how well the result of a project meets the requirements set out at the beginning of project. These must be kept in mind throughout the project, and at the very end of the project there must be a reconciliation between what was was ordered by the client and what was delivered by the vendor.

In your research paper, provide an analysis of the purpose and benefits provided by a requirements traceability matrix and in particular, address the following:

How would you set up your requirements traceability matrix (what information goes in each row, and in each column)?
What is the value of using the requirements traceability matrix throughout the project to evaluate how project requirements are being addressed?
What is the purpose of test cases described in the typical requirements traceability matrix?
