In what situation would it be beneficial to conduct a project audit?
I believe an audit would be beneficial at anytime during the project. An audit ensures that the work you are doing meets the required criteria of the project. It would be especially beneficial to perform an audit during the end of each phase to:
• Ensure the quality of products, services, or functionality
• Ensure project management complies with quality standards, procedures, and policies of the organization
• Identify business risks and respond
• Improve team performance such as budget allocation or discrepancies with project outcomes.
• Learn from mistakes such as under/over estimates of time, budget, or resources.
