According to Cohn & Hira (2021), MNCs "are in many respects the main agents of globalization" (p. 306). Furthermore, "liberals often view MNCs and private banks as 'the major weavers of the world economy,' and that FDI (foreign direct investment) stimulate innovation, competition, economic growth, and employment" (p. 306). However, as we now know, though, these liberal and globalist perspectives are now more ideological and more "woke" than what these perspectives formerly were, and perspectives and viewpoints that do not conform to these ideological "woke" agendas are cancelled-out. In your opinion, have "woke" politics infiltrated these main agents of globalization, such as MNCs, and, if so, what type of impact, positive or negative, will "woke" politics have on issues of North-South relations and overall development for LDCs? Explain.
