Purpose
This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following: Plan and organize a report from a manager's point of view. Analyze the ways the competitive landscape around a company impacts management and the organization as a whole.
Overview Over the length of the course, you will complete a 5- to 7-page report where you analyze a company or organization’s strategic errors or successes. You will complete this paper as a polished report you could submit to a leadership team. You will also create a presentation based on your analysis during the last module of the course.
Action Items
Add to the report you created in the last three modules. Consider the following question about the organization’s competitive landscape:
Who are your organization’s major competitors, and how is your company performing in comparison?
Then, in 1-2 pages, detail your company’s competitors and performance, and address these additional components in your analysis:
Using Chapter 6 from Kinicki and Williams (2020), conduct a detailed SWOT analysis.
What is your company’s core capabilities, and what unique challenges does it face in the future?
How does your organization manage change? Is there any evidence that your company is a change agent, or responsive and flexible?
