There is this standardized way of studying religions and it often starts with categorization. I wonder how true the categories are? And then there is this issue of how complex everything is (to which Bauman refers).
Any ideas about how recent developments such as globalization, climate change and the new physics, changed the study of religion (or conventional categories)?
