Anna Verano has called a meeting to go over the company’s overall hiring practices. Currently, the recruiting department provides each hiring manager with the resumes of all minimally qualified applicants for a position. Hiring managers have full authority to make selection decisions, and most do so based on the employment interview. Each manager selects the candidates they wish to interview and then conducts a 60- to 90-minute in-person interview prior to making a hiring decision. Each hiring manager conducts the interviews with the format they feel most comfortable with; there is no prescribed interview format.
