PARAGRAPH 3:
There is increasing evidence that computers are leading to a dehumanizing of relations between customers and business enterprises. More and more people are meeting difficulties in dealing with the impersonal machines used by companies to handle paperwork. So great have been the complaints that some companies have taken measures to improve the human links between machines and customers. In the US, for examples, The Shell Oil company set up a free telephone line for customers who wanted to complain about errors in their computerized bill. Other companies have established customers relations offices to add a personal connection between angry customers and the impassive machines which send out the bills.
