A paying passenger was dragged off of a United Airlines flight and it gained national attention. Your supervisor asks whether you believe the company made the right decision* in taking the passenger off the plane, and if not, why not?
Explain your conclusions:
What stakeholders were affected and why
For each group of stakeholders, define which of the 3 model tests best describes why they would feel most uncomfortable with the decision that was made and why?
If you conclude that the decision was not the right one for your company, propose some other potential solutions that might have been utilized.
*In light of the 2020 protests that occurred nationwide, you may find yourself (as I did) questioning whether the selection of this passenger was, in fact, random. It would be fair to ask whether a white-middle age doctor would have been treated the same. I am always interested in your expressions of thoughts on social justice, now and throughout the course, as long as you address the core issues of the question and ground your response in our learning resources--which this week focuses here on the use of the ethics rules with the various stakeholders.
