• A client may have one or more pets. We often look clients up by phone number and we keep track of their name and address.
• A pet is owned by a single client. A pet is identified by their owner and their name. We keep track of their species, breed, sex, neutering status.
• A pet can be treated by several different doctors or technicians. Each doctor and technician have an employee number and a name.
• A pet may have multiple visits that need to be tracked by date and reason for visit.

Each department has a manager and at least one employee. Employees must be assigned to at least one, but possibly more departments. Projects have name, unique tracking number and at least a single employee. An employee may or may not be assigned to one or more project depending on current circumstances. It is important to track the names of the departments, projects, managers and employees, as well as the manager and employee number and a unique project number.
