Imagine that you’ve been asked to write a guest blog post on a popular web design firm’s site. They want to know what you think makes a great website. In this activity, you will identify the elements that go into building a successful business website.

When considering what makes a good website, you will look at sites for various types of businesses: those that sell a product only, those that sell services only, and those that sell both products and services.

For example, consider a clothing business. It may only sell dresses (products only), it may only provide tailoring (service only), or it may sell dresses and provide tailoring (products and services).

When you view each site, identify the key elements that make it successful in your eyes. Then, write that blog post (about 15-25 sentences) summarizing what makes each site you viewed great.

Make sure to choose a website for each of the types of businesses we discussed above:

A company that provides products only

A company that provides services only

A company that provides a combination of products and services

Finally, make sure your blog post answers the following questions:

What about the website makes the company seem reliable or trustworthy?

What was the most attractive feature of the website, and why?

What does the website do to encourage customers to purchase products or services?

How does the website facilitate client or customer transactions?

To complete this activity, submit your blog post in the word-processing application of your choice. Please also provide a section in your document that lists the URLs of the websites you reviewed.
